Blog publication speed?

I haven't had this blog for long, but I did expect it to publish when I hit the publish button. That's the slogan right - "One-button publishing". I am quite annoyed my posts don't show up until the next day. WTH is the point of that? Do I have to bring a shovel to the things-I-once-knew-graveyard and dig up my dead PHP-skills to create my own blog from scratch? What? What!?

[Edit:] I just checked the RSS feed, and they appear there. So if you wanna read my blog, RSS is the way to go, until I get this business figured out that is offcourse.

Playstation 2

Today I made my way to Siba's brick & mortar shop to pick up one of the new PS2s, as they have them quite cheap, and I want one before the weekend. That didn't turn out to well, as all the shelves were empty. Ok, stay calm, I can just order it online instead, it just means I've gotta wait a couple days extra, and pay the extra postage.

No! That's no option. So I went over to QXL, a norwegian eBay-like site. Did a quick search, filtered out all the junk and found myself a nice one to bid on. Right now it's about 2/3 the shop price, and includes GTA San Andreas and a 8mb memorycard. So now I've got 4 days of thrillings and shivers as the actionsaga continues its countdown.

Playstation

USAiii

Having fun reading the news (warning: linked page in Norwegian) today. Apperently the US army rectuiters are now using iTunes to send their kids to die. Way to go!

A PS2 for me?

After much pressure from my co-workers I'm starting to think I should get myself a Playstation©. Which would be my first ever playconsol! I'm not to sure when I'd have the time to play on the thing, or if it's really something I should get. I have a feeling it could quite easily eat up a hellofalot of my time. But now that it's smaller, new color and... duh. What's with everything being so small anyway? It's not like we have overpopulated the planet so much that everything needs to be minimized. Except SUVs offcourse. Hate 'em hate 'em hate 'em all!

Well, tomorrow I'll have a look at these things. I wonder if I'll be able to deside between the colors.

I've also spent some time snooping around in the "advanced" settings of Blogger, and to my delight I see it's possible to pretty much customize everything. Now there's a project to get into.

Flickr-schmickr

So what's with this Flickr business anyway? I only resently descovered Flickr, like one week before the now infamous Yahoo!-overtaking. So tonight I desided to give it a testrun. After getting through all the initial getting-a-username-and-password-yahoo I was ready to upload some photos. But what? I resently cleared my entire hd to do a fresh install of Tiger, making sure I backed up every little tidbit. Apparently I didn't back up my montages. Which happened to be what I wanted to share with the webulation. After a lot of spotlighting around on my external hd's and dvd-roms I ended up locating them by looking through old iPhoto libraries using the Photoshop imagebrowser. Eventually I was ready to some uploading. I used the Flickr Uploader which I for some reason allready had downloaded at some earlier point. But it just kept crashing on me. So I go for the webbased uploader on flickr.com. Which after a hell of lot of waiting told me some error had occoured. In other words never got uploaded. Bah! I don't know what the exact error read, because I closed the window so damn quick when it didn't work. Aaanywho - I now went over here at blogger.com to start this - my first blog, to rant about it. And I that thought blogs were getting outdated now that everyone and their dog has a blog.

I'll give this uploadingbusiness another go tomorrow.
